Swalwell Demands 2028 Dem Candidates Vow to Destroy Trump’s Ballroom

President Donald Trump has garnered enough private contributions to construct a White House Ballroom with which the president and federal government generally can host formal events with dignity and grace, and Democrats are going berserk about it. Particularly, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), is losing his mind over the new building.

As background, the White House does not have a suitable space for formal events, and so when there is a state dinner for visiting dignitaries, that has, up until now, generally been hosted in a constructed tent outside the White House. President Trump saw that as undignified and lacking in respect, and so is constructing a ballroom where the FDR-era East Wing stood.

Further, he did so not by using tax dollars or funding it with debt, but rather by garnering donations from individuals who wanted to help build it, and received enough donations to construct a fitting ballroom that properly represents American dignity and can help presidents host suitable formal events at the White House.

Announcing as much on Truth Social, the president said, “I am pleased to announce that ground has been broken on the White House grounds to build the new, big, beautiful White House Ballroom. Completely separate from the White House itself, the East Wing is being fully modernized as part of this process, and will be more beautiful than ever when it is complete! For more than 150 years, every President has dreamt about having a Ballroom at the White House to accommodate people for grand parties, State Visits, etc.”

Continuing, he added, “I am honored to be the first President to finally get this much-needed project underway — with zero cost to the American Taxpayer! The White House Ballroom is being privately funded by many generous Patriots, Great American Companies, and, yours truly. This Ballroom will be happily used for Generations to come! President DJT”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, defending the ballroom as “a much-needed and exquisite addition,” said, “The White House is currently unable to host major functions honoring world leaders in other countries without having to install a large and unsightly tent approximately 100 yards away from the main building’s entrance.”

In any case, Rep. Swalwell remained furious that Trump is building such a ballroom, and demanded, in a ridiculous post on X calling for the height of waste and irresponsibility, “Don’t even think of seeking the Democratic nomination for president unless you pledge to take a wrecking ball to the Trump Ballroom on DAY ONE.”
