FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino dropped an alarming update on his official “X” account on Saturday that appeared to suggest there is a massive and highly secretive level of corruption throughout the federal government.

In a lengthy post, Bongino said that what he’s seen “has shocked me down to my core,” adding that the way the country is currently being run isn’t sustainable.

“During my tenure here as the Deputy Director of the FBI, I have repeatedly relayed to you that things are happening that might not be immediately visible, but they are happening.

The Director and I are committed to stamping out public corruption and the political weaponization of both law enforcement and intelligence operations,” the post begins. “It is a priority for us. But what I have learned in the course of our properly predicated and necessary investigations into these aforementioned matters, has shocked me down to my core. We cannot run a Republic like this. I’ll never be the same after learning what I’ve learned.”

He added: “We are going to conduct these righteous and proper investigations by the book and in accordance with the law. We are going to get the answers WE ALL DESERVE. As with any investigation, I cannot predict where it will land, but I can promise you an honest and dignified effort at truth. Not ‘my truth,’ or ‘your truth,’ but THE TRUTH,” he said.

Bongino’s cryptic post comes just a week after he reportedly was absent from his office for several days following the release of a memo from the Justice Department claiming there was no so-called “client list” that belonged to the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and that no further information about his case would be forthcoming.

But it also comes on the heels of several revelations from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard regarding the “Russian collusion” hoax perpetuated by the former Obama administration against President Donald Trump that undermined much of his first term in office.

The Department of Justice confirmed Monday it has received a criminal referral from Gabbard regarding her allegations that Obama-era officials “manufactured and politicized intelligence” to construct the narrative of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, Fox News reports.

Earlier, Gabbard released a series of newly unclassified documents that she said contain “overwhelming evidence” showing that then-President Barack Obama and his national security team laid the foundation for the years-long Trump-Russia collusion investigation following Trump’s victory over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2016.
