News Of The Day!
Every teenager should cherish their prom night. Like many others, these young ladies were excited for the big day and made sure to dress the part. Together, they went viral! Many people were impressed when they discovered a surprising secret detail. To find out why everyone is talking about this, keep reading! High school students in the United States are typically under the legal drinking age of 21. However, in some countries, the legal drinking age is lower.
For example, the legal drinking age in the United Kingdom is 18. Still, it is not allowed to bring alcohol to school events where minors may be present. That doesn’t stop some students from trying to find clever ways to sneak a drink before hitting the dance floor. Prom chaperones are usually trained to maintain order and look out for any signs of intoxication so they can step in if necessary.
Even so, some students come up with creative ways to smuggle alcohol into prom. This photo is a great example of the kind of mischief students can get into. One senior prom girl managed to hide a large flask under her shirt. But how? She cleverly disguised an oversized silver flask to look like a clutch bag!
At first glance, it looks like she’s simply carrying a shiny accessory. But if you look more closely, you’ll see it’s actually something much more unexpected. Eleanor Clarke, a student from the UK, didn’t let the rules stop her from having fun with her friends. Wearing a beautiful dress and carrying what appeared to be a metallic purse, Eleanor fooled everyone.
The large flask hidden in the clutch was eventually revealed. She didn’t bother bringing a real purse—she figured she’d get more use out of one that could hold liquid. Eleanor later expressed her surprise at pulling it off, writing on X (formerly Twitter), “Still don’t know how I got away with a huge hip flask as my prom clutch.”
She reportedly bought the $12 flask from a store called Tiger. Eleanor managed to hide it in plain sight so well that no one noticed—until she decided to reveal her clever trick!
This is a true story. We wish Eleanor and her friends all the best as they move on to the next chapter of their lives.
