WATCH: Trump Jokes that the President of Somalia Didn’t Want to Take Ilhan Omar Back
In yet another absolutely hilarious moment from President Donald Trump, the president joked to the press that he had tried to get the country of Somalia to “take back” Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), a far-left Democrat who now represents constituents in Minnesota despite originally being from Somalia, but the President of Somalia said he doesn’t want to take back Ilhan.
As background, Rep. Omar is by far one of the most notorious and disliked members of the far-left “Squad,” and has gained even more notoriety in the weeks after the murder of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, as she has tried to downplay and insidiously justify his death by claiming that his rhetoric was unacceptable.
So, she has faced calls from conservatives for the federal government to denaturalize and deport her after impeaching her and removing her from Congress, with even President Trump echoing the call that she should be impeached by the GOP members of Congress, a call that so far has not been heeded by the do-nothing Republicans.
He also joked that Somalia should take her back. That came as he joked about her fellow far-left and much despised member of Congress, Jasmine Crockett. He began, “Recently, Jasmine Crockett. Yes, yes, I remember what I said. Is she any relation to the late, great Davy Crockett? I don’t think so.”
Continuing, he attacked Crockett as a “low IQ” person, saying, “Let me tell you before you even ask. She’s a very low IQ person. I mean, if we ever had to pass an aptitude test, that’s the one [who] should take one. … This is a low IQ person who I can’t even believe is a congressperson.”
That’s when he got to joking about Ilhan Omar, saying that he tried to get the president of Somalia to take her back, but that was refused. He said, to laughter from the reporters in the group, “Between her and Ilhan Omar… and, you know, I met the head of Somalia. Did you know that? And I suggested that maybe he’d like to take her back. And he said, ‘I don’t want her.’”

Those comments sparked a whining, furious freak out from Ilhan Omar on X. Quote tweeting a clip of him joking about her, she insisted, “From denying Somalia had a president to making up a story, President Trump is a lying buffoon. No one should take this embarrassing fool seriously.”
In any case, Trump also posted about Omar on his Truth Social platform, saying, “Ilhan Omar’s Country of Somalia is plagued by a lack of central Government control, persistent Poverty, Hunger, Resurgent Terrorism, Piracy, decades of Civil War, Corruption, and pervasive Violence. 70% of the population lives in extreme Poverty, and widespread Food Insecurity.”
